mmhmm for Mac 2.0 introduces library and presets 2.0

We kicked off our mmhmm Summer season of content with a keynote preview of “Chunky,” the next iteration of mmhmm. Last week, the first of these features were shipped in mmhmm for Mac 2.0. Take a look at Presets and Library, then take them for a spin by going to the mmhmm menu > Check for Updates in the app.

Presets 2.0

Presets allow you to customize the room, as well as the presenter size, placement, and other presenter settings, on every slide of your presentation. For example, let’s say you present most of your slides over your shoulder, but you want to present some slides in full-screen with no presenter video. To create a new Preset, select the slide (or shift-click to select multiple slides), then right-click and select New Preset from selection. You can also use Option + Drag. Whatever room, slide, and presenter settings you adjust will now apply to all slides with this Preset.

Library

The new Library groups all of your mmhmm recordings in one place, so you no longer have to search your folders for that one presentation you made that one time. To view the recordings in your Library, click the new Presentations button in the upper right corner of mmhmm. Check out our FAQ for more information on how your existing presentations get imported.

More Chunky on the way

Over the course of the next several weeks, we’ll be releasing all of the Chunky 2.0 features into the product. If you’re the adventurous type who enjoys finding bugs, join our Mac beta to get early access to the latest and greatest. Happy summer!
