Mmhmm for Windows is getting closer! We’re working hard with a select number of Beta testers as we get the product ready for release to everyone. We’re polishing buttons and cleaning up our Rooms to make the place pristine for our housewarming party. Thank you to everyone for your patience.

For those of you who are helping us test the Windows version, here's what's new in the Beta 2 update:

Real room mode

Got a nice book collection? (We bet you do.) Now you can show everyone your real background using the full frame mask (that’s the square option in the middle), which you can access in the Presenter panel. Drag the edges of the frame to show as much or as little of your real room behind you as you would like. Learn more about frames in our Help Center article, Adjusting your appearance with the presenter panel.

Expanded room catalog

Make your presentation stand out with even more virtual backgrounds and presentation settings. You can upload your own custom Rooms or play with slide tilting for a 3D effect.

Keyboard shortcuts

We've added these hotkeys for quick actions in mmhmm.

Ctrl + N New file

Ctrl + O Open file

Ctrl + W Close file

Ctrl + S Save file

Ctrl + Shift + S Save As

Ctrl + D Duplicate file

Shift + Delete Delete selected slides

Shift + R Reset settings

We’re running this beta test scientifically, periodically inviting new testers to make sure we have statistically-significant coverage for new features and bug fixes for a variety of hardware and software. We know it can feel frustrating to wait, but this kind of deliberate testing helps us ship the best product for everyone as soon as possible.

We know many of you are excited to get into mmhmm for Windows—we're excited, too! If you're on the waitlist, we'll email you when we're ready. And if you're not on the waitlist yet, here's where you can add your name and contact information.

Thanks again for helping us build and test mmhmm!
